The Spanish Mario Mora and Marta Liébana selected among the 25 best pianists in the prestigious INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION PALOMA O'SHEA SANTANDER (Spain).
 
The International Piano Competition Paloma O'Shea Santander, is considered one of most importants in the world.
This year the competition that arises from the contribution of the wife of banker Emilio Botin, is dedicated to the great Spanish pianist Alicia de Larrocha and the jury has highly regarded as Ros Marba, Ferenc Rados, Marta Gulyás, ...
The competition surprising in each edition (and we are in the XVII) for the quality of the participants and their youth. In this edition, the Spanish are in luck, pianist Marta Liébana (27 years) has been selected for the final competition and a young Mario Mora (22 years) has been selected as first reserve.
Marta Liébana began her studies at the Conservatory of Music of Getafe, subsequently held at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid and has perfected his studies at the Helsinki Conservatory and the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
Mario Mora has a similar career, he began his studies at the Conservatory of Music "Pedro Aranaz" of Cuenca, to finish later in the Conservatory of Music in Madrid. He is currently a postgraduate student at the Royal Academy of Music of London with Professor Pascal Nemirovsky, doing a Master of Arts in Piano with the Scholarship "Krein Scholarship".
With young people like these, we can realize that musical training in Spain is harvested the fruits that have been sowing for years.
The level they are showing the young musicians of our country is reflected in the results in prestigious competitions.
This competition shows that thanks to teachers like Alicia de Larrocha, to which he dedicates this edition, we have young talents that will be teachers like Martha and Mario.
